Softball Recap: Amherst Falcons vs. Stratford Tigers

Amherst proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Stratford Tigers, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since April 20th.

Sam Nooyen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
