Basketball Recap: Central Valley Falcons vs. Modoc Braves
Central Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Modoc Braves.

Central Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Curry, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Curry a new career-high in steals. Hayden Webster was another key player, putting up 17 points and three steals.
Modoc had a senior duo take command as Chris Guasp posted 17 points in addition to five boards and three steals and Adin Benson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 boards set a new season-high mark for Benson. Ethan Northrup also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Modoc, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
