Clay Schuler and Scott Furman provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Sheffield. The connection was good for 150 yards, the longest such play in Allegheny Mountain - Northern this season.
Port Allegany extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Cameron County, 41-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Smethport's dynamic duo of Schuler and Ryan Corbett proved tough for the Wolverines to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Schuler threw for 233 yards and three touchdowns and Corbett had 150 yards receiving. Karl Lightner helped Smethport's passing attack out by catching six balls for 60 yards.
Caden Whitman was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 167 yards as Coudersport beat Sheffield. Mitch Freeman also contributed to the rushing game with 59 yards on the ground.
Matt Bodamer provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Port Allegany topped the Raiders. He completed 16 passes for 252 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 67 yards. Bodamer's favorite target this week was Tyce Miller, who caught nine passes for 127 yards.
Michael Bodamer's team's Bodamer and Miller have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Allegheny Mountain - Northern in both passing and receiving yards. Bodamer has thrown for 2443 yards this season, while Miller, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 52 catches for 949 yards. Schuler from Smethport leads the league in rushing with 804 yards.
The Gators' Miller is only 51 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Brockway.
The Falcons moved up to 481 from 511 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Coudersport climbed the ranks as a result of topping Otto-Eldred 38-8.
