Lawson can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They never let the Glencliff Colts get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Lightning, who have now won five matches by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Elliot Swihart made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Swihart was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Lawson is undefeated when Swihart posts two or more runs, but 1-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, Jack Gwin was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-1. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Mason Owens also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Lawson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .812. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lawson's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Glencliff, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Lawson will have a chance to go back-to-back against Glencliff: the pair will be back at it again later today.
