Volleyball Recap: Weiss Beats Mccallum for Their Third Straight Win

Weiss had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the McCallum Knights. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19.

Deja Carroll paced Weiss' offense, picking up ten kills. Carroll got some help from Ava Jackson and her 18 assists. Jackson was also a major player on defense: she and Rihanna Bryant shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

When it comes to explaining why McCallum lost, don't look at Aaniya Thorton. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs. Thorton is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Weiss' win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for McCallum, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Weiss has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Madison on the 21st. As for McCallum, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against University on the 21st.
