Basketball Game Preview: Bishop McCort Crushers vs. Central Dragons

Bishop McCort is 0-4 against Central since December of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bishop McCort Crushers will face off against the Central Dragons at 6:00 p.m.

Bishop McCort is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a blow against Bishop Guilfoyle, falling 79-49. While losing is never fun, the Crushers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Marauders are ranked 39th).

Meanwhile, Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-53 victory over Westmont Hilltop on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Bishop McCort's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Central, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Bishop McCort ended up a good deal behind Central when the teams last played back in January of 2024, losing 48-33. Can Bishop McCort avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
