Baseball Recap: Central Crossing Comes Up Short

After flying high against Franklin Heights on Saturday, Central Crossing came back down to earth. The Comets came up short against the New Albany Eagles on Monday, falling 20-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 last Wednesday.

Central Crossing dropped their record down to 2-11-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for New Albany, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Crossing will take on Westerville Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Albany, they will welcome Pickerington North at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
