Softball Recap: Diamond Ranch Comes Up Short

While it was Diamond Ranch who put the first runs on the board on Thursday, it was Covina who put up more. The Panthers fell 7-3 to the Colts. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Colts when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Olivia Jauregui (Captain) 2026 made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Sophia Cervantes 2029, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one triple.

Diamond Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Covina, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Diamond Ranch will challenge Riverside Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Covina, they will face off against Polytechnic at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
