Basketball Game Preview: Brandon Eagles vs. Bloomingdale Bulls

Brandon is 2-8 against Bloomingdale since November of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Brandon Eagles will head out to square off against the Bloomingdale Bulls at 8:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Brandon is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game back in December of 2024. They were beaten by Sumner 83-49. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 690th, while the Stingrays are ranked 211th).

Brandon might have lost, but man, Messiah McKinley was a machine: he posted 22 points. Tyler Cole was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Bloomingdale was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 47-41 to Shorecrest Prep. The game marked the Bulls' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Brandon's record is now 1-8. As for Bloomingdale, their record is now 10-4.

Brandon lost to Bloomingdale on the road by a decisive 48-33 margin in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Can Brandon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
