Baseball Recap: Temescal Canyon Extends Winning Streak to Four

Temescal Canyon barely beat Redlands the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Titans blew past the Terriers 10-2 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Colby Nobel looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Brock Dixon and Jayden York did most of the damage at the plate: Dixon went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while York went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most runs Dixon has posted since back in March. Jonathan Reece was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

The win (which was Temescal Canyon's fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Redlands, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temescal Canyon will head out to square off against Pacifica Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Tritons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Titans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Redlands, they will head out on the road to face off against Cajon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Terriers are facing the Cowboys at the right time seeing as the Cowboys are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
