Softball Recap: Lexington Minutemen vs. Northwest Vikings
Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Northwest Vikings, falling 15-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Minutemen of the 13-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Thursday.
Lexington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delilah Solis, who went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-27. As for Northwest, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 27-1.
Lexington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwest, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 14-9 loss against Hastings on the 7th.
