After a string of five wins, Winona's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Nettleton. While Winona didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Nettleton 25-19 in the first set.

Winona started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-23.

Winona's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-6. As for Nettleton, they moved to 13-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Winona has already played their next game (against Choctaw County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. After both having extra time off, Nettleton and Noxubee County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
