Baseball Recap: Tampa Prep Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tampa Prep can now relate to. They fell 7-2 to the Carrollwood Day Patriots on Tuesday. The Terrapins haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Tampa Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Della Rocca, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Tampa Prep's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Carrollwood Day, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-8.

Tampa Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carrollwood Day, they will venture away from home to square off against Berkeley Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buccaneers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
