Alyssa Koerkenmeier and Maris Zurliene secure win for Mater Dei

Recap: Mater Dei Knights vs. Teutopolis Wooden Shoes
The Mater Dei Knights won the last time they faced the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes, and things went their way on Monday too. Mater Dei walked away with a 51-44 victory over the Wooden Shoes.
Leading Mater Dei to victory were Alyssa Koerkenmeier and Maris Zurliene. Koerkenmeier scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while Zurliene scored 16 points along with two steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zurliene has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lily Butler, who scored four points along with five steals.
Mater Dei's win bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Teutopolis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-10.
Mater Dei will head out on the road to challenge the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Okawville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Monday. As for Teutopolis, they will square off against the Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
