Softball Recap: Immaculata Triumphs

Immaculata took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Hunterdon Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Red Devils 5-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Maddie Falvey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hailey Cuyun, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last ten contests.

Immaculata's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Hunterdon Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
