Volleyball Recap: Manchester Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Piketon, Manchester was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Whiteoak Wildcats by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Greyhounds, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Manchester had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-19.

The win got Manchester back to even at 1-1. As for Whiteoak, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manchester will venture away from home to take on Peebles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whiteoak, they will face off against Washington at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
