After flying high against Aztec on Tuesday, Bayfield came back down to earth. The Wolverines fell 2-0 to the Manitou Springs Mustangs on Friday.

Bayfield now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Manitou Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Looking ahead, Bayfield will welcome Alamosa at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give Bayfield their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Manitou Springs, they have already played their next matchup, a 4-1 loss against Pagosa Springs on the 13th.
