Basketball Recap: Marcos Marquez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Little Snake River over Cokeville

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Little Snake River couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 52-34 bruising from the Cokeville Panthers on Saturday. The Rattlers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Rattlers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marcos Marquez, who went 5-for-9 en route to 11 points and four steals. Granit Ready was another key player, putting up nine points.

Little Snake River's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Cokeville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Little Snake River will challenge Southeast at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cokeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
