Scottsboro had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. Everything went their way against the South Pittsburg Pirates as they made off with a 57-34 win.

Scottsboro pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for South Pittsburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Scottsboro will welcome Fort Payne at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Scottsboro knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Fort Payne likes a good challenge. As for South Pittsburg, they will square off against St. Andrews-Sewanee at 7:00 p.m. on January 6th.
