Softball Recap: Albany Comes Up Short

Albany lost against Shenendehowa back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Falcons came up short against the Plainsmen, falling 19-1. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Shenendehowa, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Albany will head out to square off against Niskayuna at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons are facing the Silver Warriors at the right time seeing as the Silver Warriors are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Shenendehowa, they will host South Glens Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Plainsmen 2.6, the Bulldogs 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
