Basketball Game Preview: Scappoose Indians vs. Tillamook Cheesemakers

Scappoose and Tillamook are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Scappoose Indians will take on the Tillamook Cheesemakers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Scappoose has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 167 points over their last three matches.

Last Tuesday, Scappoose earned a 56-47 win over St. Helens.

Meanwhile, Tillamook was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 54-48 to Astoria. The Cheesemakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The victory got Scappoose back to even at 7-7. As for Tillamook, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Scappoose took their win against Tillamook in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 69-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scappoose since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
