Recap: Gadsden City Titans vs. Guntersville Wildcats
The Gadsden City Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 40-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Guntersville. Gadsden City has not had much luck with Guntersville recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Gadsden City's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karleigh Sheffield, who scored 12 points. Destiny Whiteside was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Gadsden City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Guntersville, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
Gadsden City will take on Sylacauga at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Guntersville, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
