Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask James Monroe). They claimed a resounding 79-44 win over the Spotsylvania Knights. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Knights are ranked 396th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

James Monroe is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Spotsylvania, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
