While Mason's victory against Edgewood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Comets had just enough and edged out the Cougars 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Comets have posted since March 16, 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Mason got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 17-25, 25-23, 24-26, 15-3.

Declan Mulvin had a dynamite game, getting ten digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Logan Zemberi, who had 15 digs and two aces.

Mulvin wasn't the only good server: Mason was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 26 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Edgewood still got an impressive performance from Evan Ryan, who had 13 digs.

Mason now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Edgewood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Mason wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Oak Hills on the 3rd. As for Edgewood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Kings on the 2nd.
