Soccer Game Preview: Naples vs. Estero

The Naples Golden Eagles will square off against the Estero Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Naples is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Barron Collier last Thursday. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1. Naples haven't had much luck with Barron Collier recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Naples' goal came courtesy of Hennsley Sarajian, who's now up to six this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Estero). They never let South Fort Myers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory last Tuesday. The result kept Estero happy, as they haven't lost a game since November 4th.

Naples' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Estero, their win bumped their record up to 4-1-1.

Everything went Naples' way against Estero when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as Naples made off with a 5-2 victory. Will the Golden Eagles repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
