Softball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Albuquerque Academy Chargers. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Aleyah Lucero made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Albuquerque Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.

Coincidentally, Valley and Albuquerque Academy will both be playing Hope Christian the next time they take the field. The Chargers will head out to face the Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Vikings will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
