Football Recap: Zion Christian Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Zion Christian Academy fell victim to Mt. Pleasant and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 49-0. The Eagles lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in September of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 2-0 score last time.

Kayden McCrory went supernova For Mt. Pleasant., rushing for 132 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. McCrory showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 55 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Niehaus, who picked up 107 receiving yards and one TD.

Zion Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mt. Pleasant, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Zion Christian Academy will square off against Creekside Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will take on Forrest at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
