Basketball Recap: Humphrey-Lindsay Beats Homer for Their Third Straight Victory

Humphrey-Lindsay had won two straight games and Claire Korth did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs strolled past the Homer Knights with points to spare, taking the game 63-45 thanks to Korth, who went 12-for-21 en route to 29 points and eight rebounds. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Groteluschen, who posted seven points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Homer lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Alexandra Albrecht, who had 11 points and six boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Rylie Harris, who earned 14 points and five rebounds.

Humphrey-Lindsay's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Homer, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 23-2.

Humphrey-Lindsay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Homer, they will face off against Maywood/Hayes Center at 4:00 p.m. on February 28th.
