Football Recap: Dmari Bryant and Rayden Reibel Secure Win for Millennium

Millennium lost to Verrado back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Tigers came out on top against the Vipers by a score of 45-38. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but the Tigers were the better team in the second half.

Leading Millennium to victory were Rayden Reibel and Dmari Bryant. Reibel threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes, while Bryant rushed for 140 yards and a pair of TDs. Bryant is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 140 every time he's taken the field this season.

Despite the loss, Verrado still got an impressive performance from Malachi Wilt, who threw for 352 yards and four TDs. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Locke, who picked up 119 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Millennium's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points over those games. As for Verrado, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Millennium will face off against Tolleson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines' defense has only allowed 14.5 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Verrado, they will square off against Desert Edge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vipers' defense better be ready for this one: the Scorpions have averaged an impressive 27.8 points per game this season.
