Softball Recap: Red Rock Comes Up Short

After flying high against Tempe Prep last Monday, Red Rock came back down to earth. Red Rock lost 15-4 to the Fountain Hills Falcons on Wednesday. The Scorpions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2015.

Red Rock dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fountain Hills, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Rock will take on Williams at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Williams will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Red Rock surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fountain Hills, they will challenge Phoenix Christian at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
