Evansville Reitz had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Evansville Harrison Warriors 55-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Panthers just coasted through the last quarter.

Elijah Darrett had a dynamite game, rushing for 74 yards and one TD, while also catching one score. AJ Coates was in the mix too, providing Evansville Reitz with two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Evansville Reitz was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 206 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 202 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Evansville Reitz didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Mason Bailey, Kade Vogel, and Colin Johnson picked up one apiece.
