Softball Game Preview: Chenango Forks Blue Devils vs. Windsor Central Black Knights

The Chenango Forks Blue Devils will venture away from home to square off against the Windsor Central Black Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Owego Free Academy hit Chenango Forks with a four-run first inning two weeks ago, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils lost 13-1 to the River Hawks.

Meanwhile, Windsor Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 8-3 to Owego Free Academy.

Emily Flagg was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Paige Cauiola was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Windsor Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Chenango Forks, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Chenango Forks couldn't quite get it done against Windsor Central when the teams last played back in May of 2025 as they fell 12-8. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
