Basketball Game Preview: Anna Coyotes vs. Sherman Bearcats

Anna and Sherman are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Anna Coyotes will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Sherman Bearcats at 6:15 p.m. Sherman took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Anna, who comes in off a win.

Anna will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 24 points on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Greenville on Friday. Anna simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Greenville 75-32. The Coyotes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Sherman faced off against Walnut Grove on Friday. Sherman came up short against Walnut Grove, falling 48-25. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 947th, while the Wildcats are ranked 166th).

Sherman has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season. As for Anna, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Anna against Sherman in their previous meeting on January 3rd, as the team secured a 69-33 victory. Will Anna repeat their success, or does Sherman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
