Basketball Recap: Oldham-Ramona/R Comes Up Short

Oldham-Ramona/R was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Great Plains Lutheran Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rutland of the 68-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Austin Rubendall had a dynamite game for Great Plains Lutheran, going 8-for-12 on his way to 17 points and seven boards. What's more, Rubendall also posted a 67% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January of 2024. Jarret Bauer was another key player, going 7-for-9 en route to 17 points.

Oldham-Ramona/R's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Great Plains Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 9-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Oldham-Ramona/R does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Great Plains Lutheran, they will head out on the road to challenge Sisseton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Great Plains Lutheran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season.
