Volleyball Recap: Wake Prep Academy's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Wake Prep Academy entered their tilt with Corinth Holders on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Pirates. The Guardians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (105-104) Wake Prep Academy actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-23, 19-25, 15-13.

Josie Osborne paced Wake Prep Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Osborne got some help from Harper Maxwell and her 45 assists. Osborne was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Wake Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Corinth Holders, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wake Prep Academy will venture away from home to face off against South Granville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corinth Holders, they will head out to take on Clayton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
