South Plainfield took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Edison Eagles. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Kevin Penny made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Penny was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
