Basketball Game Preview: Jackson County Panthers vs. Clarke Central Gladiators

The Jackson County Panthers will square off against the Clarke Central Gladiators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

It was a proper cat-fight when Jackson County duked it out withApalachee on Friday. Jackson County blew past Apalachee 80-25. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Clarke Central beat Alcovy 52-47 on Friday.

Jackson County has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.1 points per game. As for Clarke Central, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

Jackson County was able to grind out a solid victory over Clarke Central when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 39-31. Will Jackson County repeat their success, or does Clarke Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
