Basketball Recap: ROWVA/Williamsfield Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when ROWVA/Williamsfield faced off against Delavan on Friday. The ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars lost 66-45 to the Delavan Panthers. The Cougars have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Delavan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kelton Nafzinger led the charge by going 7 for 11 on his way to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Bryson Horning, who went 5 of 10 en route to 10 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

ROWVA/Williamsfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Delavan, their victory bumped their record up to 5-15.

ROWVA/Williamsfield has already played their next match, a 63-61 win against Peoria Heights on the 18th. As for Delavan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-40 victory against Cuba/Spoon River Valley on the 18th.
