Softball Recap: Morrilton Comes Up Short

Morrilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heber Springs Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Devil Dogs of the 13-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Morrilton now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Heber Springs, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Morrilton will square off against Greenbrier at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heber Springs, they will face off against Mt. Vernon-Enola at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warhawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
