1. West Linn
2013-14 record: 24-4, Class 6A state champions
Head coach: Eric Viuhkola

The Lions will have a massive target on their back in 2014-15 as the two-time defending Class 6A champs. Reigning Oregonian 6A Player of the Year Payton Pritchard recently committed to Oklahoma and is still just a junior. His running mate in the backcourt is fellow all-state player Anthony Mathis, who has singed with New Mexico.

2. Jefferson (Portland)
2013-14 record: 26-1, Class 5A state champions
Head coach: Pat Strickland



Transfers Deante Strickland and Isaiah Robinson will join holdovers Kadeem Strickland and Greyson Smallwood, a 6-foot-11 center, to give the Demos arguably the most talented group in the state.

3. South Eugene
2013-14 record: 14-12
Head coach: Dave Hancock

The Axemen welcome back four of their top five scorers from 2013-14, including Yale pledge Eli Lininger (6-5, Sr., G) and Mason Green-Richards. Lininger was a second team Class 6A all-state pick as a junior.

4. Central Catholic (Portland)
2013-14 record: 17-11
Head coach: Dan Munson



Eight players are back from a team that lost to eventual champ West Linn last year in the 6A quarterfinals. Munson has guided the Rams to a 63-22 mark since taking over the program prior to the 2011-12 campaign.

5. Lake Oswego
2013-14 record: 13-12
Head coach: Mark Shoff

Kevin Love's alma mater is expected to take a big step forward this season behind senior guard Jazz Johnson, a University of Portland signee. Johnson was an honorable mention Class 6A all-state pick as a junior.
