Basketball Recap: Church Point Falls Short of Pine in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Church Point can now relate to. They came up short against the Pine Raiders on Monday, falling 60-40. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Raiders are ranked 51st).

Church Point's defeat dropped their record down to 13-19. As for Pine, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

Church Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pine, they will take on Doyle on Thursday. Doyle will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Pine surely won't give up without a fight.
