Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Sacred Heart won the last time they faced Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer and things went their way on Thursday too. The Sacred Heart Irish walked away with a 53-40 victory over the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans. Given the Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Titans are ranked 141st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elie Bstandig, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Laramie Glathar, who posted seven points along with six boards and three steals.

The win was the fourth in a row for Sacred Heart, bringing their record for this year to 22-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points over those games. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-11.

As of now, neither Sacred Heart nor Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer have any future games scheduled.
