Softball Recap: Trinity Beats East Pennsboro for Their Sixth Straight Win

Trinity came tearing into Wednesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the East Pennsboro Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 back in March.

Anna Sheaffer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three runs. Taylor Lawrence was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Sheaffer wasn't the only one making solid contact: Trinity kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Trinity pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for East Pennsboro, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity will take on Camp Hill at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Pennsboro, they will challenge Northeastern at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
