Benilde-St. Margaret hadn't done well against Chanhassen recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Red Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Storm, sneaking past 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Red Knights: when they faced off against the Storm back in April, they had to take a 12-8 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Brooklyn Riley, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Murry, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Benilde-St. Margaret's is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games.
