Softball Game Preview: Mogadore Wildcats vs. Aquinas Knights

The Mogadore Wildcats will square off against the Aquinas Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mogadore has six straight victories, Aquinas has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Mogadore proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 11) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Norton 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Aquinas lost 15-6 to Springfield on Saturday.

AyraBella Bacorn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Jiana Mohr-Roberts also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Aquinas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Mogadore, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
