Baseball Recap: School Without Walls Continues Home Dominance on Monday

There's no place like home for School Without Walls, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Eastern Ramblers on Monday. The Penguins haven't had any issues with the Ramblers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Ellington Hunt was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of School Without Walls' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Wesley Freed, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

School Without Walls pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Eastern, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-4-1.
