Cedaredge put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 50-33 win over the Gunnison Cowboys. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-25 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cedaredge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carley Malinowski, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 17 points along with six assists and six boards. The dominant performance gave Malinowski a new career-high in assists. Abby Brooks was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 12 points and six rebounds.

Cedaredge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 15 consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Gunnison still got an impressive performance from Kylee McDougal, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Yaslin Hernandez, who posted nine points.

Cedaredge pushed their record up to 15-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.1 points per game. As for Gunnison, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedaredge will venture away from home to take on North Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedaredge's defense has only allowed 21.6 points per game this season, so North Fork's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Gunnison, they will head out to square off against Meeker at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
