Basketball Recap: Grandfield Takes a Loss

Grandfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 51-42 to the Carnegie Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 40-31 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2017.

Karlee Tohkofper continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Carnegie, shooting 5-for-6 from downtown and almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. Paxton Davis was another key player, putting up seven points.

Grandfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Carnegie, their record is now 4-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Carnegie beat Grandfield by a score of 51-42 on Monday.
