Lake Cormorant came tearing into Tuesday's contest with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Olive Branch Conquistadors with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 4th.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lake Cormorant was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11, 25-15.

Lake Cormorant's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emily Huerta, who had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Huerta has posted over her last seven matchups. Kayla Gonzalez was another key player, getting ten assists and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Lake Cormorant was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Olive Branch only served seven.

Despite the loss, Olive Branch still got an impressive performance from Katrina Shears, who had 18 digs and three aces. Shears has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.
