Softball Game Preview: Valley View Blazers vs. Beebe Badgers

The Valley View Blazers will face off against the Beebe Badgers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Valley View 4.1, Beebe 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Valley View's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Greene County Tech hitters got past them. The Blazers came up short against the Golden Eagles on Tuesday, falling 15-7. The Blazers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Harlee Allison made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Ellis, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Beebe got themselves on the board against Jacksonville on Tuesday, but Jacksonville never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Beebe's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 16-5. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
